People on the internet are not having it as they slam the 'Get You' hitmaker for his comments, making the singer's name trending on Twitter.

AceShowbiz - Twitter is dragging Daniel Caesar for his insensitive comments on his recent Instagram Live broadcast. The "Best Part" hitmaker took on the photo-sharing platform on March 19 to insert himself in the drama involving YesJulz.

YesJulz, who has been known for making racially insensitive comments in the past, was recently slammed for bashing Scottie Beam and Karen Civil, two black women working in the hip-hop industry. While most people are offended by the remarks, Daniel apparently thought that black people are too "sensitive."

"Why are we being so meant to Julz?" he asked in the video, which he filmed while being "f***ing drunk." He added, "Why are we being so mean to white people right now? It's a serious question. Why is that we're allowed to be disrespectful and rude to everybody else, and when anybody returns that energy to us... I don't want to be treated like I can't take a joke!"

People quickly flooded the comment section, explaining why they found Julz's remarks offensive. "White people have been mean to us in the past, yeah, but what are you going to do about it? Tell me what you'e going to do about that? There's no answer, other than creating and understanding and keeping it moving. You have to bridge that gap," the 23-year-old responded.

The "Get You" singer went on saying that it was okay to feel "offended" by certain comments, though he didn't think it was okay to tell someone not to have their opinion just because it might offend others. "Are we winning right now in the culture? Are we don top of society? We're not. You can’t win the game by choosing to not accept the winning team’s strategy," he said. "You have to acknowledge the strategy and build a strategy on top of that."

He doubled down his controversial comments by saying that he didn't care if his fans "cancel" him for that. "I'mma say what I say because I said what I said before and y'all tried to cancel me and I apologized like a b***h and I don't believe in that s**t," he said. "I think you guys are wrong and I think I'm right. You can cancel me. I'm making music right now and you guys don't have to listen to it."

People on the internet were not having it as they slammed Daniel for his comments, making the singer's name trending on Twitter. "You know how racists be like 'I'm not racist. I have a black friend.' Daniel Caesar is that friend," one person tweeted, gaining over 3K retweets and more than 10K likes. Another fan expressed their disappointment in the singer as she wrote, "Me to Daniel Caesar, after playing Freudian over and over:," alongside an iconic GIF of Tyra Banks on "America's Next Top Model" that featured her saying, "I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you! How dare you?!"

"Worrying about white folks precious sensibilities in this political climate especially as a Black person is such a self defeating and boringly banal position, they don't need your defense they are always protected, always," another user snarked. "folks like Daniel Caesar need a nap and history lesson."

"Daniel Caesar really just asked by black people being mean to white people? Lmaooo he needs to seek help immediately," one comment read.
