AceShowbiz - Supermodel Barbara Palvin has been officially named as the next Victoria's Secret Angel.
The 25-year-old becomes the first Hungarian to join the lingerie line's elite beauty squad, who annually strut their stuff at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Palvin made her debut for the company back in 2012 and appeared on the show last year (18).
"I don't know where to begin but I'll try," the thrilled star wrote on Instagram on Thursday, March 14. "I never thought it would happen and it has exceeded all my expectations. I'm very excited to announce that I'm officially a @victoriassecret ANGEL!"
"Thank you for believing in me," she added. "There were times where I let my own thoughts hold me back and it was a hard climb away from those but my family, my team... and everyone at VS they were always there to support me and uplift me. I am proud to represent Hungary, and most importantly, all of you in this new chapter of my life! Thank you all so much again."
Her boyfriend, actor Dylan Sprouse, was among the first people to congratulate Barbara on social media, writing: "The missus has a big announcement, officially a VS angel! Proud of all the work you've done leading up to this and here's to more years of success and a little less Ben and Jerry's ice cream."
Palvin, who boasts 1.9 million followers on Instagram, joins the ranks of supermodels like Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, and Karlie Kloss.
She replaces Adriana Lima, who walked her last Victoria's Secret runway in November, 2018, after 20 years with the brand.
