Dwayne Johnson teases a twist in the upcoming movie as he shares the picture with a caption which partly reads, '... things may not be as they seem.'

AceShowbiz - Here's your first look at "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" sequel. The gang is back together in the official photo which is shared online via Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Instagram account. Johnson is featured alongside Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan in the photo, but Nick Jonas is nowhere to be seen with them. They are all wearing the exact same costumes that their characters are wearing in the previous movie.

Jonas' absence aside, Johnson teases a mystery in the upcoming film. "Yes, you're favorite band is back ~ lookin' lean (ish) and mean," he writes, before adding, "Even though things may not be as they seem. So buckle up world because soon we'll all play."

"When a brand NEW JUMANJI drops this Holiday! Oh the fun you're gonna have," the wrestler-turned-actor goes on gushing, before signing off as his character Dr. Smolder Bravestone. "Love, The Smoldering Dr. Bravestone," he concludes it.

Black will reprise his role as Professor Sheldon "Shelly" Oberon, Hart returns as Franklin "Mouse" Finbar and Gillan is back as Ruby Roundhouse. Jonas is also slated to return as Jefferson "Seaplane" McDonough although he is not featured in the image.

Those five characters are video game avatars. The first film follows four teenagers who are transported into the video game world of Jumanji and play as their chosen characters. Joining another player, they must overcome the game's magical power to win and return home.

Deadline has just reported that Rhys Darby will reprise his role as the players' guide Nigel, along with the four teens played by Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner and Alex Wolff. Awkwafina, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover are new additions to the cast.

Jake Kasdan is back at the helm, with a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Filming for "Jumanji 3" has been underway since earlier this year for a planned December 13 released in the United States.
