The fashion icon shocks both talk show host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Julianne Moore with her confession when asked about speculations of her brief relationship with the 'Pretty Woman' actor.

AceShowbiz - Diane Von Furstenberg has finally spoken about her brief love affair with Richard Gere.

The designer made an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday night, March 07, to promote the upcoming The DVF Awards, which were founded in 2010 to recognise and support extraordinary women.

During the interview, Diane also agreed to take part in a round of "DVF or WTF (What the f**k)?" with host Andy and fellow guest Julianne Moore, with the first question relating to her rumoured relationship with the "Pretty Woman" actor.

"Julianne, I'm going to say this is true, I think DVF has had some wonderful love affairs in her life," commented Andy, while Julianne disagreed and said, "Uh uh, I'm going to go with what the f**k?"

However, Diane shocked them both when she responded, "Well it was a f**k."

Andy and Julianne both broke into applause before high fiving the fashion icon. In between her first marriage to Prince Egon von Furstenberg and second marriage married to media mogul Barry Diller, Diane was also alleged to have once dated Warren Beatty.

Elsewhere in the interview, Diane shutdown speculation that she once had a dance-off with Cher at Studio 54, confirmed that she always has herring in her fridge and insisted that she can swim for two hours straight. She also spoke about what it was like to be friends with pop artist Andy Warhol in the '70s.

"Andy Warhol was somebody I knew really well and saw him a lot," the 72-year-old reflected. "I don't know if I was a friend because he was very much of a voyeur... the truth is that he was either taping you or asking you questions or taking a Polaroid. But he sure saw a lot. He guessed what was going to happen to society. Branding, icons, I mean the whole thing, the reality TV, everything! So, he would have gone crazy with the Internet!"
