AceShowbiz - Marques Houston, who used to star alongside Tia and Tamera Mowry on "Sister, Sister", is now an engaged man. The former Disney star just announced to his Instagram followers that he's set to marry girlfriend Miya X after she accepted his proposal.
Alongside a picture of the couple holding hands, Marques wrote in the caption, "She said 'YES,' " along with a ring emoji. The massive diamond sparkler was on full display. Miya also took to her own Instagram account to share the happy news, sharing a slew of pictures of the lovebirds enjoying a walk on a sandy beach.
One of the pictures showed the raven lady cupping her fiance's face as she stared lovingly into his eyes. Both of them were twinning in red, with Miya keeping things simple with an off-the-shoulder blouse which she accessorized with large hoop earrings and silver necklace. "Nothing but love in our eyes," she gushed alongside the sweet picture.
Fans immediately flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. "I am so happy for the both of you. Yelling congratulations all the way from Maryland!!!" one comment read. One other hilariously wrote, "bro do the rain scene from 'you got served' for her during the reception!" while another also joked, "Aren't you glad she didn't say 'go homeeee Roger!' congratulations."
Some others, meanwhile, were confused because they thought the "You Got Served" star and his girlfriend were already married. It was understandable given the fact that her Instagram name has been "MiyanaHouston" for quite some time. "I'm so confused I thought they were already married," one wondered.
Prior to dating Miya, Mouston was in a long-term relationship with Marlena Campbell. The then-couple started dating in 2008, but it was never confirmed when they broke up. Mouston was also engaged to actress Jennifer Freeman for a year.
