Having the 'Columbus' filmmaker behind its script, this futuristic new robot drama is based on Alexander Weinstein's short story titled 'Saying Goodbye to Yang'.

AceShowbiz - Actor Colin Farrell is taking on a futuristic new robot drama based on the short story "Saying Goodbye to Yang".
Titled "After Yang", the film will follow a father and daughter as they attempt to save the life of a robot big brother, named Yang, in a world where robot children are purchased as live-in babysitters.
The movie will be based on author Alexander Weinstein's story, which was included in his 2016 collection, "Children of the New World".
South Korean filmmaker Kogonada has written the adaptation, which he will also direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It will mark his second movie in charge, after making his directorial debut with 2017's "Columbus", a family drama starring John Cho.
