The "Selma" star has signed on to feature alongside Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson, who will reprise their roles as Bea and Thomas McGregor from the 2018 live-action/animation adventure.

British comedian and talk show host James Corden is also returning to voice the titular character for "Peter Rabbit 2", reports Variety.

The sequel will again be co-written and directed by Will Gluck, who is slated to produce the project for his Olive Bridge Entertainment firm.

"Peter Rabbit" became a big hit following its release a year ago (Feb18), grossing over $350 million (£268 million) worldwide from a budget of $50 million (£38 million).

The follow-up is scheduled to hit theatres in 2020.
