AceShowbiz - Perhaps Gina Kirschenheiter should get herself a driver after this. Less than a week after "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star was arrested for driving under the influence, she was once again pulled over by police in Orange County on Wednesday, February 6 for another traffic violation. The Blast first reported the news.
According to O.C. Superior Court, the television personality was cited for "driving while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communication device." Gina was ordered to pay a $160 fine for what she did.
Last week, Gina was arrested for driving under the influence after she failed her sobriety test. The Long Island native remained in prison until she was released with a citation around noon. It's unknown whether she had passengers at the time of her arrest. Following the incident, Gina issued an apology and vowed to never drink and drive again.
"I made a very bad choice the other night after a mom's night out," she said. "I am extremely disappointed in myself and regret my actions wholeheartedly. I have learned a valuable lesson and hope to show you all that this one incident does not define me."
Gina doubled down on her apology by posting a lengthy statement on Instagram. "Bad choices have bad consequences. Mine are magnified bc I chose to share my life with you on a very public stage," she said. "Those who are a part of my real life gave me words of encouragement and love knowing the content of my character and the love in my heart."
"I am disappointed in myself and that I am part of this social norm. Especially since everyone who knows me knows I'm the queen of Uber/Lyft," she added. "This didn't happen to me. I wasn't 'unlucky' I made a conscious decision to do something especially stupid. One time is one time too many. I am awake now. I can promise this will NEVER BE ME again."
