'RHOC' Star Gina Kirschenheiter Regrets Driving Under Influence After Arrest

The TV personality is arrested for DUI after she is stopped by police for a suspected traffic violation in Rancho Santa Margarita in Orange County, California.

AceShowbiz - Gina Kirschenheiter was thrown into the slammer on Thursday night, January 31. "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star was busted for driving under influence at 12:20 A.M. in Rancho Santa Margarita in Orange County, California.

According to Orange County Sheriff's Department, Gina was stopped for a suspected traffic violation. She was then placed under arrest after failing her sobriety test, before getting transported to prison. The star remained until she released with a citation around noon. It's unknown whether she had passengers with her at the time of her arrest.

Gina's court date is reportedly set for February 28.

Following the arrest, Gina issued a statement regarding the matter on the following day, admitting her mistake. "I made a very bad choice the other night after a mom's night out," the blonde star said. "I am extremely disappointed in myself and regret my actions wholeheartedly. I have learned a valuable lesson and hope to show you all that this one incident does not define me."

Gina joined the cast of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" in the most recent season 13. She offered viewers a look at her days adjusting to West Coast life, expanding her social circle and getting to know her fellow Housewives, including Shannon Beador, Kelly Dodd and Tamra Judge.

Gina also let viewers watch the ups and downs of her personal life, such as raising her three children with estranged husband Matthew Kirschenheiter. The couple split in July 2018. "After careful consideration and deep thought, we have decided to end our legal marriage. With that said, we will never end our friendship and will forever remain family," they said in a statement.

"We are dedicated to raising our children together in a happy, healthy loving environment," they added. "We will be navigating this difficult process with respect and grace for one another. We kindly ask for others to treat us with this same respect and grace at we move through this family adjustment."
