The trailer puts together three generations of Shaft to deliver humor and actions in the new comedy crime movie.

AceShowbiz - Samuel L. Jackson is back as John Shaft II in the first trailer for "Shaft", the next chapter in the "Shaft" film franchise. The video introduces Jessie T. Usher as Shaft II's estranged son, John 'JJ' Shaft III a.k.a. John Shaft Jr.

After making an unexpected appearance at his father's office, Shaft Jr. is brought into his father's violent world that clashes with his principles. Hilarity ensues as Shaft Jr., who is not as slick as his father, joins Shaft II in action, forcing the older Shaft to "babysit" his son.

Adding the humor and actions, Richard Roundtree will also return as the original John Shaft, a.k.a. Shaft II's father and Shaft III's grandfather. Since a "Shaft" movie would not be complete without some hot chicks, the video also features some new female characters, including Shaft III's mother who is portrayed by Regina Hall.

"Shaft" follows JJ, aka John Shaft Jr. (Usher) He may be a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT, but to uncover the truth behind his best friend's untimely death, he needs an education only his dad can provide. Absent throughout JJ's youth, the legendary locked-and-loaded John Shaft (Jackson) agrees to help his progeny navigate Harlem's heroin-infested underbelly. And while JJ's own FBI analyst's badge may clash with his dad's trademark leather duster, there's no denying family. Besides, Shaft's got an agenda of his own, and a score to settle that's professional and personal.

The upcoming movie serves as a direct sequel to 2000's "Shaft" and is the fifth installment in the comedy-action crime film franchise. Tim Story directs the pic based on the script provided by Kenya Barris and Alex Barnow. Alexandra Shipp, Matt Lauria, Titus Welliver, Cliff "Method Man" Smith and Avan Jogia also star in the film, which is due out on June 14 in theaters across the nation.
