AceShowbiz - Constance Wu is officially joining Jennifer Lopez in upcoming movie "Hustlers at Scores".

Following the success of her TV show "Fresh Off the Boat" and role as Rachel Chu in hit romantic comedy "Crazy Rich Asians", Wu has signed on to star in Lopez's next project, a real-life revenge drama.

The film will be based on Jessica Pressler's 2015 New York Magazine article titled "The Hustlers at Scores", which centres on a group of exotic dancers living in New York City in the late 2000s who get their revenge on wealthy, drunk, and abusive clients by maxing out their credit cards after they've passed out.

Regarding the film, STXInternational's President of International Sales John Friedberg, commented that he was looking forward to seeing the two star's performances.

"Jennifer and her team made 'Second Act' an unforgettable experience for STX, so we're thrilled to be collaborating again," he said in a statement, according to Deadline. "Jennifer and Constance's global star power, combined with an extraordinary true story, make this an undeniably hot package for our international partners."

Studio bosses at STXInternational have added "Hustlers" to their European Film Market sales slate, with the film set to begin shooting in March. No other casting details have yet been announced. "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" screenwriter Lorene Scafaria has adapted the news piece for the movie, which she will also direct.

"The film is an empathetic look at women and men, our gender roles, what we're valued for, what we've been told is our value in every movie, TV show, every corner of culture," Scafaria previously explained. "Men have been told they're worth the size of their bank accounts. Women have been told they're worth the symmetry of their faces, their bodies, their beauty and that's what this film is based on. The rules of the club are the rules of the world."

Lopez and her business partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, will also serve as co-executive producers for the movie. The 49-year-old is currently promoting rom com "Second Act" and is next set to appear in TV movie "Bye Bye Birdie Live!"

Meanwhile, Wu is voicing a character in animated flick "Wish Dragon" and will soon begin work on the follow-up to "Crazy Rich Asians", set to be based on Kevin Kwan's book "China Rich Girlfriend".
