Stopping the gig to talk about Netflix's 'FYRE: The Greatest Party that Never Happened', the 'Always on Time' hitmaker encourages concertgoers to vent out their frustration with a cussing chant.

AceShowbiz - Ja Rule has encouraged his fans to swear at him over his involvement in Fyre Festival.

The "Always on Time" hitmaker co-founded the 2017 luxury event with Billy McFarland, though it ended up becoming a logistical failure, disappointing hundreds of ticket buyers.

During a recent gig in New Jersey, Ja Rule stopped the show to talk about the Netflix documentary, "FYRE: The Greatest Party that Never Happened", which followed the organisation - and fallout - of the disastrous festival.

Recognising fans "might be a little mad" over the documentary, the 42-year-old encouraged the audience to chant, "F**k you, Ja Rule" in an effort to air their frustrations.

Holding his middle finger high in the air, Ja Rule jumped on the mic and joined in before adding, "F**k you too!"

Fyre Festival attendees were charged between $5,000 (£3,900) and $250,000 (£194,400) per ticket, with the event boasting performances from major acts like Major Lazer, Tyga, Pusha T and Desiigner.

However, it was cancelled almost immediately after it opened in Great Exuma, Bahamas in April 2017.

McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison for fraud in October (2018), while the rapper has avoided facing any jail time over his involvement in the festival.
