Kaley Cuoco makes the revelation during an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', prompting co-star Kunal Nayyar to joke that he gets letters from accountants instead.

AceShowbiz - The stars of hit comedy "The Big Bang Theory" have found unlikely fans in prison inmates.
Actors Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Jim Parsons, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik have reached new levels of fame thanks to the huge popularity of the sitcom, and it appears their show has become a hit behind bars, too.
"We do get a lot of letters from prison (inmates)," Cuoco shared during a cast appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, January 31.
Joking that he understands why letters are sent from jail, Galecki quipped, "If I was in prison, I would write."
However, not everyone is keen to read what their incarcerated fans have to say.
"When the return address says Riker's Island (notorious New York prison), you don't have to open it," Helberg added.
For Nayyar, who is of British/Indian decent, his fan base tends to comprise of more studious viewers: "I don't think I know one Indian in prison," he told host Ellen DeGeneres. "I get a lot of letters from accountants."
But the series, which is set to conclude this spring after 12 seasons, has also inspired those interested in science, mathematics and technology, the subjects many of their nerdy TV characters excel at.
"I think for all of us it feels really especially impactful that not only can we bring people joy and make them laugh, but we also are putting a different face on science and scientists," Bialik said. "We have a scholarship fund, a 'Big Bang Theory' scholarship fund."
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) scholarship supports five students annually in science fields.
