AceShowbiz - "90 Day Fiance" star Ashley Martson filed for divorce from her husband Jay Smith before her hospitalization, it has just been revealed. The 32-year-old reality TV star filed the paperwork on January 11 to end their eight- month-long marriage, but she has apparently changed her mind. According to E! News, Ashley withdrew the paperwork, which was filed in a Pennsylvania court, on Tuesday, January 22.
The couple has not commented on the divorce withdrawal, but Ashley has called out a webloid after her divorce papers were leaked online. "Who the f**k is leaking all this s**t?" she wrote on Instagram along with a picture of her and Jay which appeared to be taken during a photo shoot. She added, "#NotCool."
Ashley was hospitalized on January 13 for acute kidney failure due to complications from lupus. She underwent a surgery before getting dialysis in an attempt to avoid kidney transplant. A GoFundMe page has been launched to cover her medical bills and to care for her two children, as Ashley may not be able to work for months due to her health issues.
Following her health issues, Jay rushed to the hospital to be by her side despite their rocky relationship. He wrote on Instagram, "I may have hurt you. I may have not been a good husband. Jumping on a plane the second I found out you was in the hospital was something I didn't even think twice to do. We have our differences but as long as I have life I will never let you sit alone and suffer. I love you and nothing will ever change that. Thank you for having me here to support you."
On Saturday, January 19, Ashley gave an update on her condition. "I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your donations, prayers and support. I'm home and starting to slowly recover," she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. "I am taking the campaign down as the amount of money raised was plenty to cover unexpected medical costs and loss of income. Im hopeful I can return to work in a few weeks."
"I am so thankful for your help and kind hearts. You guys are truly a blessing and I will forever be grateful for each of you. All the cards and care packages sent made me smile and tear up at the same time. Sometimes I loose [sic] faith in humanity but you all reminded me that there still is kind and compassionate people in this world. Thank you again from the Bottom of my heart."
Ashley and Jay's marriage had a rocky start. In the December 23 episode of the TLC series, Ashley found out that Jay was messaging multiple women on dating application Tinder the day after their Las Vegas wedding. Defending himself, Jay who is from Jamaica and whose real name is Conroy Smith wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, "FYI: For everyone coming at me. I wasn't the only one 'talking' aka 'cheating' with other people during our 'relationship/marriage.' "
