The 'One Mic' hitmaker invites government employees impacted by government shutdown to his eatery, while Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley provide TSA employees with free food at their airport restaurants.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Nas and rockers KISS have invited U.S. federal employees affected by the ongoing government shutdown to eat for free at any of their restaurant locations.
The "One Mic" hitmaker co-owns the Sweet Chick fried chicken eatery, which has four stores in his native New York City and one in Los Angeles, and as he marked Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 21, Nas revealed he and his business partners would happily provide hot meals to government workers who have been forced to go without pay during the shutdown.
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?' " the hip-hop star began, quoting the late civil rights icon.
"today at all @sweetchicklife locations we honor the words of Dr King and in support of our Government Employees we are offering FREE Chicken & Waffles Mon-Friday 11am-4pm to all Federal Employees impacted by the shutdown...please have Federal ID and we hope to serve you as you have served us . LOVE #SweetChickLife."
KISS bandmates Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons have also offered up free food to employees at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), as they have a number of their Rock & Brews restaurants located in airport terminals across the U.S.
In a video message posted on the company's Facebook page, the veteran musicians say, "Hey, you guys, we're proud to operate our Rock & Brews restaurants at airports, and respect the diligent hard work of each and every TSA employee to ensure the safety, of who else, us, to travel around the world."
"While the TSA continues to work on our behalf without pay, we want to make sure that we can at least provide them with a delicious meal to show our support. We want you to eat well because you do so much for us."
They aren't the only rockers doing their part to help out struggling federal workers - Jon Bon Jovi also provided meals for cash-strapped government employees at his JBJ Soul Kitchen, a non-profit community restaurant in Red Bank, New Jersey on Monday.
Meanwhile, country star John Prine teamed up with bosses at his label, Oh Boy Records, to provide lunch for TSA workers at the Nashville International Airport in Tennessee last Friday, January 18.
"The Nashville airport is my second home and everyone there always takes care of me," Prine explained of his act of kindness. "It's nice to be able to do something small for them today."
And disco icon Nile Rodgers is also helping to lift the spirits of federal workers by handing out 300 pairs of tickets for free for his weekend (January 26) concert in Washington, D.C. with his band CHIC.
