AceShowbiz - Don Cheadle and Kathy Griffin have ended their Twitter feud after she attacked the Oscar winner for failing to support her during the fall-out from her President Donald Trump decapitation video.

The comedienne became a person of interest for the Secret Service in 2017 after posting the footage of herself holding a replica of the U.S. leader's bloody head online, and Hollywood took sides in what Griffin now calls "a smear campaign."

She took aim at Cheadle, calling him a "d**k in real life" on Monday, January 14, insisting he should have been more outspoken in her defence, prompting the actor to point out that he didn't approve of what she did and would have urged her not to do it had he been asked.

He also took issue with Kathy's claims he was a friend, insisting he had one conversation with her on a flight and didn't consider himself a pal.

After their initial flurry of tweets, the "Hotel Rwanda" star took to the microblogging site on Tuesday evening and wrote, "tweeps. i don't hate @kathygriffin or harbor any ill will, irrespective of the narrative several places are currently running with. i didn't attack her before or since and don't consider her an enemy. i'm not sure how/why this all bubbled up over a cap but let's dead it."

Griffin also seemed keen to kill the drama, adding, "Thank you for this, Don. I have a lot of respect for you and I know we are of like mind politically. I'll admit I am still frustrated that 17 months after the Trump pic I still don't have a significant public advocate. Sometimes these frustrations bubble up unexpectedly."
