One week after his ex, Angelina Jolie, hosted a party for the director and cast of 'Roma', the 'Allied' actor is celebrating Barry Jenkins' acclaimed movie with a private screening and reception.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still championing their Hollywood friends at glitzy screening parties, even though they are no longer a couple.

A week after Angelina hosted a party for the director and cast of "Roma" and special guests, her ex staged a similar party to give Oscars rival "If Beale Street Could Talk" a big awards season boost.

The actor made it clear Barry Jenkins' acclaimed film was his Oscars pick by hosting a screening and a reception for the movie at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills on Saturday night (January 12), on the eve of the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards.

Jenkins and his stars KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Brian Tyree Henry, Colman Domingo, Finn Wittrock and Michael Beach were all in attendance for the bash and posed for pictures with their host, which have been plastered all over the Internet.

Songwriter Diane Warren, Timothee Chalamet and filmmakers Catherine Hardwicke and John Ridley also turned out for the event.

"If Beale Street Could Talk" picked up Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress honours - for Regina King - at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night, a week after it claimed the same two awards at the Golden Globes. The acclaimed movie, about a young black couple in 1970s Harlem, New York, has already picked up a string of top honours this awards season, with King receiving an armful of Best Supporting Actress honours.

The movie is expected to be among those to land multiple nominations ahead of the Oscars.
