The streaming service is reportedly still contemplating whether to have the planned limited series set before or after 'Thor: Ragnarok' and 'Avengers: Infinity War'.

AceShowbiz - Lady Sif may be heading to the small screen soon. The character, who was first introduced in the first "Thor" movie, is reportedly getting a solo TV series treatment on Disney Plus, the upcoming premium streaming service of the House of Mouse.

According to Discussing Film, the new project will see Jaimie Alexander reprising her role of the Asgardian warrior and adventurer. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige reportedly will serve as the producer of the planned series.

The site further reports that the streaming service has yet to determine the setting of the limited series, which is said to have 6-8 episodes. They are still contemplating whether to have it set before or after "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Avengers: Infinity War".

Disney Plus is also said to be allocating a big budget for the Lady Sif series. Just like Jon Favreau's "The Mandalorian", the rumored series will also receive a $100M budget.

If the new report is to be believed, the Lady Sif series will join other shows confirmed for Disney Plus. So far, the lineup includes a Loki spin-off series, a Winter Soldier and Falcon limited series featuring Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, and a final season of "The Clone Wars". A series titled "Vision and the Scarlet Witch" is also rumored to be in the works. Elisabeth Olsen will reportedly reprise her role as Scarlet Witch with Paul Bettany being expected to reprise his "Avengers: Infinity War" role as the member of the Avengers.

There also series based on "High Fidelity", "Mighty Ducks" and "Monsters, Inc." as well as a live-action remake of "The Lady and the Tramp" featuring Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux.

Disney Plus is scheduled to launch sometime in 2019.
