When talking about his critically acclaimed period drama, the 'Tomb Raider' actor also gushes about how easy it was for him to fall in love with the 'Never Let Me Go' actress.

AceShowbiz - Dominic West and his "Colette" co-star Keira Knightley worked to create a Parisian version of Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West for the movie.

In the critically acclaimed period drama, Keira portrays the French writer Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, who ghostwrote hugely successful books for her husband Willy, played by Dominic.

And in an interview with Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine, the 49-year-old shared he and Keira took inspiration from one of the showbiz world's most famous power couples.

"My character Willy was essentially trying to create the Kim and Kanye of Belle Epoque Paris," Dominic told Harper's Bazaar. "Without Colette and Willy, no party was a party. They cannibalised their lives for notoriety, so nothing that happened in their lives was private - everything was fair game for public consumption."

While the reality star and her musician husband provided some inspiration, both Keira and Dominic found creating a believable romance much easier.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has previously spoken of the chemistry between the pair, calling Dominic "naturally charming", and "The Wire" actor also confirmed that he found it very easy to fall for the British actress onscreen.

"From my point of view, it was dead easy falling in love with Keira Knightley," he smiled. "It's not hard to imagine that you'd feel gutted if she was leaving you or wanted a divorce."

However, just to make sure they reached the right level of intimacy before filming on the movie began, Dominic shared that they spent two weeks learning to Polka dance, a tried and tested method of getting close quickly.

"There's nothing like a bit of ballroom to bring a couple together as we know from (U.K. TV show) Strictly (Come Dancing)," he laughed. "Keira is very easy to love."
