AceShowbiz - Al Pacino is closing in on a deal to make his TV series debut in a Nazi-hunting drama.
The movie veteran has appeared in TV movies, like "Paterno", and mini-series, like "Angels in America", but he has never appeared in an episodic television run - until now.
He's in talks to team up with Logan Lerman for the 10-episode season of Amazon's "The Hunt", which will be executive produced by Oscar-winning "Get Out" director Jordan Peele.
Pacino's previous TV roles have landed him a couple of Emmys - he picked up prizes for his role in the Jack Kevorkian biopic "You Don't Know Jack", and for playing Roy Cohn in "Angels in America".
According to Deadline, "The Hunt" follows a group of Nazi hunters seeking out Adolf Hitler's henchmen in New York City in the late 1970s.
Lerman was among the first cast for the series - he'll portray Jonah Heidelbaum, who finds himself swept up by the Nazi hunters as he attempts to find the man who murdered his grandmother. Pacino is slated to play the man who mentors him.
The series, which is inspired by real-life events, was snapped up by Amazon bosses last year (2018), and given a straight-to-series 10-episode order, according to the outlet.
