While representative for the disgraced producer applauds the court for the decision, the 'Missing' actress' attorney remains positive in pursuing three other claims against him.

AceShowbiz - Ashley Judd's sexual harassment claim against Harvey Weinstein has been dismissed after a Los Angeles judge threw out the claim.

The actress has accused the disgraced producer of sexual misconduct and maintains he worked to sabotage her career when she spurned his advances.Though the harassment portion of her case against the former movie mogul cannot proceed, her allegations of defamation will be heard in court next year (2020).

This is the second time the harassment case has been passed over. In September, the judge ruled that because Judd and Weinstein did not have a professional relationship established at the time, the star could not claim sexual harassment yet gave her time to amend her allegation.

The "Double Jeopardy" star launched the legal action last April. In her suit, she referred to comments made by "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson in late 2017, when he confessed to dropping Judd from casting consideration for his 2001 fantasy blockbuster based on remarks Weinstein had allegedly made about her lack of professionalism.

"Nothing about today's ruling changes that Ms. Judd's case is moving forward on multiple claims. The Court today dismissed only one of Ms. Judd's four claims of relief. In doing so, it made clear that it was not determining whether Ms. Judd was sexually harassed in the colloquial sense of the term," Judd's attorney told E! News in a statement on Wednesday. "It even acknowledged that the common meaning of the words in the statute would encompass her professional relationship with Mr. Weinstein. Nevertheless, the Court ruled that the statute does not apply here. While we respectfully disagree with the Court's decision as to the one claim it ruled on today, we look forward to pursuing the three claims for relief that the Court has already ruled can move forward."

Weinstein vehemently denied trying to derail Judd's career, and in August, he filed a motion asking for the actress' case to be dismissed, declaring the accusations are based on unfounded speculation.

The mogul's rep told E! News: "We have said from the beginning that this claim was unjustified, and we are pleased that the court saw it as we did, and we will ultimately prevail on her remaining claims."

The Oscar-winner has been accused of sexual misconduct from over 50 women, including Judd, since allegations of his bad behaviour hit headlines in exposes in October, 2017. He has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
