Days after Pegi Young lost her battle with cancer, the 'Downtown' singer takes it to his Archives website to thank her for being 'such a wonderful mother' to their children.

AceShowbiz - Neil Young has paid a musical tribute to his late wife, Pegi Morton, on his Archives website.

The rocker honoured the singer and Bridge School co-founder by performing his classic tune "Harvest Moon", and praising Pegi for her skills a mum.

"Thanks Pegi, for being such a wonderful mother to our children," he said. "You live inside of them and the many you have touched."

Pegi Young, 66, lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 01.

He ex-husband, who is now married to actress Daryl Hannah, also posted the lyrics to his song "Such a Woman", which was inspired by Pegi, online.

Graham Nash, Promise of the Real frontman Lukas Nelson, and Nils Lofgren have also paid tribute to Pegi.
