AceShowbiz - The huge success of Sandra Bullock-starring movie "Bird Box" has led people to invent viral challenge called #BirdBoxChallenge. However, the challenge, which sees people copying Bullock's character who has to wear a blindfold in order to survive from supernatural creatures, has drawn concern from Netflix as it urges people to stop doing it.
People have been posting videos of themselves doing activities while being blindfolded. Some fans opt to do rather easy stuff, such as sampling fries and combing their hair. "Good Morning America" co-host Michael Strahan also joined in the fun by posting a video of him putting lipstick on co-host Sarah Haines while wearing blindfolds.

However, some others are seemingly going adventurous with the challenge as they were seen doing more dangerous activities with no vision. In one video, a father and his two children are seen running around in a house. The dad holds his toddler while walking around the house before the baby smashes into a wall twice.

Meanwhile, another fan takes the challenge too far by blocking his sight with a beanie while driving his car. "Jesus take the wheel #BirdBoxChallenge," he captions the video.

Seeing how the challenge has a high potential to physically injure people, Netflix issues a wake-up call on its official Twitter account. "Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE," the streaming giant warns. "We don't know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes."
