It turns out that the circulating birthday tributes allegedly posted by Pax and Maddox are fake, but the 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' actor gets to celebrate his 55th birthday with his children.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt didn't get social media shout-outs from his children on his birthday. It was earlier reported that Pax and Maddox Jolie-Pitt posted birthday tributes to their father who turned 55 on Tuesday, December 18, but the posts are later revealed to be fake.

According to The Sun, Pax allegedly shared a sweet throwback picture of his dad as a child and wrote along with it, "Happy Birthday to this stud Love you so much! Can't wait to see you later." His older brother Maddox reportedly also paid tribute to "the coolest dad" on his birthday.

But the birthday posts were actually fan-made as the teenage boys don't have social media accounts.

While the birthday tributes were fake, Brad did spend his 55th birthday with his kids at his house. "The kids arrived at Brad's house on Monday afternoon for a sleepover. Some of them were picked up at 12:30 P.M. on Brad's birthday-Tuesday-and taken back to Angelina's," a source tells E! News. "Some of them stayed for more time with their dad."

The Academy Award-winning actor was clearly delighted with his children's visit. "It was a huge deal for Brad and something he has wanted for a long time. It was the first time they had spent the night and meant the world to him," the source adds. "It was a great birthday present and he's looking forward to spending holiday time with them in the coming days."

While the kids reunited with their father on his special day, their mother Angelina Jolie reportedly "spent the day flying her small plane around Los Angeles with a flight instructor."

Brad's reunion with his kids comes weeks after the former couple reached a final agreement on the custody of their children after more than two years of negotiations. "A custody arrangement was agreed to weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge," Angie's attorney said in a statement on November 30. "The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial."
