The 43-year-old truck driver asks God to grant him 'serenity' after the 'Jersey Shore' star slapped him with a restraining order.

AceShowbiz - Jenni "JWoww" Farley's estranged husband is asking Heaven for assistance in his time of trouble. Days after being served with a restraining order following an alleged heated argument with the "Jersey Shore" star, Roger Mathews shared a serenity prayer on his social media account.

The 43-year-old truck driver's December 18 post began with a plea, "God grant me the serenity." It went on to read, "To accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference."

"Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time," the litany continued on. "Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever and ever in the next."

Mathews was slapped with a restraining order on Friday, December 14, and found himself kicked out of their New Jersey house. The night before he reportedly called the police after an altercation with his estranged wife at home. In the wake of the fall out, he accused Farley of becoming "completely, uncontrollably emotional."

As for Farley herself, it was reported that although she filed a restraining order against Matthews, she wasn't looking to separate their two children from him. A source told Us Weekly, "Jenni would never take her kids from Roger. The judge said Roger wasn't allowed to see the kids and so Jenni went through extreme measures Friday to have someone get in front of a judge to make sure Roger could see the kids. Within 24 hours, he was with his son."

Mathews and Farley tied the knot back in October 2015. After almost three years of marriage, the latter filed for divorce in September 2018. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as reason for the separation, and noted in the papers that "there is no prospect of reconciliation."
