Days after he returned to Jamaica following his early prison release, the Reggae singer announces the date when he will make his stage comeback with his 10-piece Shiloh Band.

AceShowbiz - Reggae and dancehall star Buju Banton is set to make his stage comeback in March, 2019 following his release from prison.

Banton and his 10-piece Shiloh Band will headline a 90-minute set in his native Kingston, Jamaica on March 16 during the "Long Walk to Freedom" concert.

The show will mark the 45 year old's first performance after serving almost eight years behind bars in Atlanta, Georgia.

He scored an early release on December 7 and returned home to Jamaica to great fanfare.

In a statement issued to the Jamaica Gleaner ahead of his release, he said: "Having survived, I want to share the good news and strength of my music. I just want to continue making music, which I've devoted my life to. I look forward to the opportunity to say a personal thanks to my fans and everyone who supported me."
