While most praised Nigella for embracing her curves, one user took aim at U.S. networks in particular. "British televison has real people on it. US television is fake. All the power to you #MsLawson You are the real deal," the user wrote. One other user, in the meantime, noted, "They should all concentrate on the succulent and tasty dishes you cook , and leave it to that !"

Nigella drew such reactions from her followers as she joined in the growing cry to ban airbrushing practice. "I've had to tell American tv stations not to airbrush my sticking out stomach," the 58-year-old wrote. "The hatred of fat, and assumption that we'd all be grateful to be airbrushed thinner is pernicious."

As for Jameela's post that led to the "Nigella Bites" star's tweet, "The Good Place" actress wrote on her Twitter account, "For the last time, airbrushing is used as a tool for ethnicity erasure, colorism, ageism, fat-phobia, ableism, racism and sexism." She elaborated, "It's there to make you hate your real face and body. It made me hate my face, my body and my ethnicity for the longest time as a young woman."

Prior to that, the TV presenter slammed Nadine O'Regan for accusing her of "beseeching us to look uglier for the benefit of society."
