Despite her admission in an interview for TV special '2018: In Memoriam', the 'Stroker Ace' actress praises her late ex-husband as a great father to their son.

AceShowbiz - Actress Loni Anderson was shut out of the planning process for her wedding to Burt Reynolds because the late movie legend set up everything himself.

The former couple fell in love after meeting on the set of 1983 movie "Stroker Ace", and the stars tied the knot in 1988.

However, the bride admits she wasn't given much control over key aspects of their big day, because Burt was so hands-on.

"He planned the entire wedding," she shared in an interview for U.S. TV special "2018: In Memoriam", which airs on Monday night, December 17. "He picked out my flowers, he picked out the cake. All I got to choose was my dress."

They went on to become parents to a boy named Quinton, and although the couple's marriage ended in a costly divorce in 1993, Loni will always admire the bond father and son shared until Burt's death in September, aged 82.

"Nobody could have been more excited about adopting a child than Burt. He was a great dad," she smiled.

Paying tribute to her ex, she added, "Burt Reynolds was an icon; the most handsome movie star in the world."
