AceShowbiz - Jessie J's new Christmas tune was inspired by the death of her friend's brother.
The British singer wrote "This Christmas Day" - the title track of her new album - with producer Rodney Jerkins and dedicated the track to a grieving pal.
"A friend of mine lost her brother," she explains to Billboard. "Watching her be so strong in that moment is where the inspiration came from. I really wanted to give hope and love to her - and to anyone else that has lost somebody."
"I wanted to do something to help celebrate the people that aren't there that they wish were."
