AceShowbiz - Ian Ziering will go from "Sharknado" to "Swamp Thing" after landing the role of a washed-up Hollywood stuntman on the new TV project.
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" regular will star as Daniel Cassidy, aka the Blue Devil, in "Underworld" director Len Wiseman's new series, based on the 1970s DC Comics character.
Blue Devil was also a DC favourite in the 1980s, landing his own comic book series in 1984, which lasted for 31 monthly issues, according to Deadline.
Ziering's stuntman character receives superpowers when a real demon mistakes him as a peer.
Meanwhile, "Swamp Thing" was introduced in DC Comics in the 1970s.
Wiseman will executive produce the series and direct the pilot.
