Admitting that going into the surrogacy journey 'is already scary' for her and husband Todd Tucker, the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star says she's surprised by 'questions you did not really think about' at the psychological review.

AceShowbiz - Kandi Burruss faces the unexpected while pursuing surrogacy in her effort to have baby number three. A little over a month after revealing decision to go with a surrogate, the cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" got candid about her surrogacy journey.

Opening up about the starting things of surrogacy process, the former member of Xscape told HollywoodLife.com, "[They] asked you questions or bring up things that you didn't really think about." By them, she referred to the counselors interviewing her for psychological review. She elaborated, "The whole thing now is her body, our baby. So it's a lot to think about."

"It's already scary for us to go into this, but the more and more questions and different things that the counselor brings up to you before they approve you moving forward," the 42-year-old TV personality added, "It's just things that I didn't even think about."

As for how far into the process were she and her husband Todd Tucker in, the Grammy Award winner admitted that they are "about to start the treatments to go ahead and to do the transfer." She explained, "Because you have to go through a psychological review for the potential carrier and yourself, and obviously, we have to negotiate a contract."

Kandi also revealed other difficulties she faced after deciding with surrogacy. "It's hard to find a surrogate who actually live in the same city or state that you live in," she pointed out. "It's not like there's a lot of them, and then you have to see who you feel comfortable with, and it's just so many questions."

Back in November, Kandi discussed her fertility struggles in an interview with Dr. Jack Walters. The mother of two revealed at the time, "[I had] a couple of scares during my pregnancy with Ace. I was a high risk and I did have bleeding a few times. So my womb is just, it's not the best place to have a healthy pregnancy with no issues."

Kandi already has two children of her own. She shares a 16-year-old daughter named Riley with ex-boyfriend Russell Spencer and has a two-year-old son named Ace Wells with current husband Todd.
