The music video for the song is a part of the 'American Idol' judge's collaboration with mobile video game 'Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius'.

AceShowbiz - It may have been a while since Katy Perry released her latest album "Witness", but she has treated fans to some new releases such as a cover of "Dear Evan Hansen" soundtrack and a Christmas song. For her latest treatment, the pixie-haired singer unearthed a new song entitled "Immortal Flame" as a part of her collaboration to mobile video game "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius".

The release of the song was accompanied with a music video that was released on Square Enix's official YouTube page. It starts off with Katy chatting with her assistant, informing that she's already on her way to work. After sharing a selfie of herself and her pooch on Instagram, Katy decides to play the "Final Fantasy" game to kill time.

The scene then changes to show the "American Idol" judge filming her pooch during an Instagram Live, but a strange thing happens to them. The image of her pet is suddenly pixelated as if it turns into a game character. Katy is surely shocked at the image, looking at her pet to make sure that the real deal doesn't actually turn into one.

Not minding what is just happening to her dog, Katy once again goes on Live to perform the song in a beautiful blue gown as scenes of the game flickers on the screen. "I could die in your arms tonight/ But it would be a shame," she sings. " 'Cause I want to live a thousand lives and be an immortal flame."

The end of the video sees Katy fully turning into a game character, wearing the exact same dress.

In addition to lending her voice for the game, Katy has agreed to give her likeness to the game where she will appear as multiple playable characters starting from December 12. She will only be in the game for a limited time, though.

Katy is the latest pop singer to lend her likeness to "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius". Prior to this, Ariana Grande appeared in the game for a limited time. She also worked on a remix of her song "Touch It" for the game.
