The former NFL linebacker, who had appeared in various TV series including 'The A-Team' and the original 'MacGyver', has passed away on December 6.

AceShowbiz - U.S. sportsman-turned-actor Tim Rossovich has died, aged 72.

The former Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers star succumbed to a long illness on Thursday, December 06.

Rossovich was on the same University of Southern California team as O.J. Simpson in the late 1960s and roomed with Tom Selleck, before becoming a sports professional with the Eagles.

Following his football career, he turned to Hollywood and became Burt Reynolds' stunt double in the film "Hooper". He also appeared in TV shows "The A-Team", "Remington Steele", "MacGyver", and "Baywatch", while reteaming with Selleck for three episodes of "Magnum, P.I."

His movie roles also included "The Main Event" and "The Sting II".
