A few weeks after answering the 'Creed II' star’s challenge for a match, the former world champion updates that there will be no real fight between the two of them.

AceShowbiz - "Creed II" star Michael B. Jordan and former boxing world champion Roy Jones Jr. have decided against stepping into the ring to challenge one another.

The "Black Panther" actor underwent extensive training for his role as boxer Adonis Creed in the latest movies in the "Rocky"/"Creed" franchise, and recently claimed he was confident he would be able to face off against 49-year-old ex-champion Roy.

Last month, Roy, who is still an active fighter, called on Michael to put his skills to the test, insisting they would "make it happen" if Jordan was serious about a bout.

However, the two men have now touched base and Roy revealed there will be no boxing battle.

"We just talked about it. We laughed about it. It's a fun thing," Jones Jr. tells TMZ.

However, the athlete admires the work Michael put into his preparation for the Creed films.

"He'd probably do OK for a few rounds with me!" he smiled.
