AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton has gotten candid about her sex tape fifteen years after it leaked out. In a new documentary titled "The American Meme", the hotel heiress showed her vulnerable side as she tearfully admitted to being the butt of everyone’s joke because of the infamous video.

"Literally overnight my entire life changed … everyone was making fun of it," the former fiancee of Chris Zylka laid bare in the documentary aired by Netflix on Friday, December 7. "I didn’t leave my house for, like months. I was so embarrassed. I felt like everyone on the street was laughing at me."

"It was like being raped," the 37-year-old TV personality further elaborated. "It felt like I'd lost part of my soul and been talked about in such cruel and mean ways. I literally wanted to die at some points. I was like, 'I just don't want to live,' because I thought everything was taken away from me. I didn't want to be known as that."

The sex tape Hilton made with ex-boyfriend, Rick Salomon, leaked online in 2003. Still, her nightmare didn't stop there. In April 2004, Solomon began distributing the tape under the title "1 Night in Paris". Years later, Hilton opened up to Piers Morgan in an interview that she "felt so betrayed" by Solomon for the infamous tape.

Aside from her sex tape, the former star of "The Simple Life" also talked about being more trusting of her fans. "I feel closer with them than I do with most people I know," she spilled. "I've been through so much in life and I don't really trust people. I've just grown accustomed to being f**ked over. But with my fans, I don't feel like that at all. Not a day goes by when I'm not texting, FaceTiming or emailing with my Little Hiltons."
