The 'Empire State of Mind' spitter takes to Twitter to explain the real meaning behind his verse on 'What's Free'.

AceShowbiz - When Meek Mill dropped his album "Championships" on Thursday, November 29, it didn't take too long for the record to make headlines due to its star-studded guest features. Among them was Jay-Z, who collaborated with the Philly native on track "What's Free" with Rick Ross.
The "Empire State of Mind" hitmaker's verse on the song particularly caught people's interest as he name-dropped Kanye West, who once had a feud with him. Listening to the song, many were certain that Jay was taking shots at the "Stronger" rapper for supporting Donald Trump.
"No red hat, don't Michael [Jackson] and Prince me and Ye/ They separate you when you got Michael and Prince's DNA, uh," he rapped on his verse. "I ain't one of these house n****s you bought/ My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours."
As more people talked about how Jay might have reignited his feud with Kanye, he eventually clarified the real meaning behind his verse on the song, explaining that he wasn't dissing his fellow rapper. Breaking his social media silence on Friday, November 30, he tweeted, "The line clearly meant don't pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album . Drake and Meek on there together."
Kanye himself has responded to the "Song Cry" spitter, simply commenting, "Throne 2" along with a shrug emoji.

Jay and Kanye's relationship has been tumultuous for a while, though the former previously said that he's back on speaking terms with the Yeezy founder. "It's just that there's certain things that happened that's not really acceptable to me," the husband of Beyonce Knowles said. "And we just need to speak about it. But there's genuine love there."
