AceShowbiz - Embattled rapper Tekashi69 (6ix9ine) is facing the prospect of spending the next 10 months behind bars after his federal trial date was set for September 2019.
The "FEFE" star was arrested and charged with six criminal counts, including conspiracy to murder and racketeering, following his arrest on 18 November, after prosecutors claimed he was linked to the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods gang.
He returned to a New York court on Monday, November 26, when he pleaded not guilty to the charges, as the judge ruled the case will go to trial on 4 September, reports TMZ.
Tekashi, real name Daniel Hernandez, will remain incarcerated for the foreseeable future, after previously having a bail offer rejected amid concerns his freedom would pose a threat to society.
His attorney Lance Lazzaro is planning to appeal the ruling.
If convicted at trial, Tekashi could be handed a life sentence, with a minimum of 32 years in prison.
