While critics slams Cheryl's 'Love Made Me Do It' for sounding like his 'Love of the Common People' track, Paul claims that he was unable to get the similarity.

AceShowbiz - Eighties pop star Paul Young has come to fellow British singer Cheryl Cole's defence, insisting her new track sounds nothing like his hit "Love of the Common People".
Liam Payne's ex has been slammed by critics, who believe her new track "Love Made Me Do It" sounds just like Young's 1982 version of John Hurley and Ronnie Wilkins' soul classic, but the "Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)" hitmaker can't quite see the similarity.

Cheryl, who co-wrote her new track with Nicola Roberts and Natasha Bedingfield, among others, has vowed to quit music if the comeback tune isn't a hit.
"If it goes in (the charts) at 80, it's time for me to move on with my life," she said recently. "I'm not going to jump around working hard and spending time away from my son for that."
