Watch: Tom Holland Feasts on His First Pumpkin at 22
Celebrity

The 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' actor says 'every pumpkin after this will be a disappointment' after trying the actual fruit for the first time at Joe Russo's restaurant.

AceShowbiz - Everyone has had that one food they have never tasted before in their life. As for Tom Holland, that food was pumpkin. In his 22 years of age, he hasn't got a chance to try the squash plant until he did a Thanksgiving cooking lesson with "Avengers: Infinity War" director Joseph Russo.

Tasting a Japanese pumpkin dish made by chef Jessica Largey, the young actor first exclaimed, "That's so good." As he went for another mouthful of the food, he commented, "The passion-fruit as well. And the kale is crunchy so there's like a nice textural thing." In the end, he complimented the chef, "That was delicious. So I'll come back tomorrow."

Before the taste test, Holland confessed to Russo and Largey that he never had pumpkin. "I think I've had pumpkin seeds," he stated. "I don't think I've ever actually eat a pumpkin." After tasting the roasted kabocha squash, he quipped, "It's hard that I'm starting with probably the best pumpkin I'll ever have. Every pumpkin after this will be a disappointment."

Russo himself, who admitted he is better at eating rather than cooking, commented that the dish was "so clean and easy." The younger brother of Anthony Russo added, "When you're done with it, you feel great. All the ingredients are natural. Everything about it is so organic, so when you're done with it, you can get up from the meal and wonderful dish without feeling you have to unbutton your pants."

During the exclusive cooking lesson held at Russo's new restaurant Simone, the leading man of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" revealed that he normally went back to the U.K. for the holiday. This year, however, he told the Associated Press that he is going to his "Spider-Man" co-star's home in Los Angeles for his "first real official Thanksgiving dinner".
