The 'Robin Hood' actor, who is best known for his role as Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin in the movies, also shares that 'Kingsman 3' is another origin story.

AceShowbiz - Taron Egerton may not be in the upcoming prequel movie of "Kingsman", but that doesn't mean he knows nothing about the forthcoming project of the franchise. The "Robin Hood" actor, who starred in the first two movies of "Kingsman" franchise, has revealed new detail about "Kingsman 3" as well as why he won't be involved in prequel movie "Kingsman: The Great Game".

Speaking to Yahoo, Taron, who is best known for his role as Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin in the movies, shares that the third movie is another origin story and is set about 100 years ago. "Even in the Kingsman universe, where anything goes, unless we can develop a time machine in the first act of the movie, I'm not going to be in it. The idea for the film is really cool. It's more of an origin story, like the first one," he explains.

Meanwhile, "The Great Game", which is set to be a prequel movie, is reportedly set to follow the private intelligence group at the heart of the films in the early 1900s. Words are, Ralph Fiennes has been eyed to star in the movie which hails from director Matthew Vaughn.

Taron, however, seemingly hints that he may be returning for "Kingsman 3", which is planned to be a direct follow-up to "Kingsman: The Golden Circle". "I am contractually obliged to be game for it. But I'm very proud of my relationship with Matthew Vaughn. I'm very proud of the movies. ... All jokes aside, I would love to come back and do a third one and wrap it up," he says.

After that third installment, Taron is likely to take a break from the franchise. "And then I think [I'd] take a step away from it for a while. It feels like it's been very of my 20s. And I don’t know that it should be of my 30s, just because I think the character's inherently quite juvenile. And if he were to come back around later on, I think I’d need to get a little bit older. I think it would be more interesting to go away and come back to it," he said. "There’s this generational thing with 'Kingsman', and I think if it has enough life in it, it'd be nice to explore that from a different angle and be a mentor to somebody else, maybe."

Rumor has it, "Kingsman: The Great Game" and "Kingsman 3" will be filmed back-to-back. The sequel being reportedly to start production January next year. It is said that some new characters from 'The Great Game" will be introduced in "Kingsman 3".

"Kingsman: The Great Game" and "Kingsman 3" are not the only movie that Vaughn is preparing for fans. The director previously revealed his ambitious plans to develop "The Great Game" spin-off prequel, plus an eight-hour "Kingsman" TV series, as well as a Statesman movie centering on the American agents played by Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges and Halle Berry in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle".
