AceShowbiz - The CW's annual Arrowverse crossover event is coming closer and fans are now treated to a better look at Ruby Rose's Batwoman. The character, who is set to make TV debut in "Elseworlds", is seen flaunting one of her bat toys in the newly-released image.

Coming via Entertainment Weekly, Ruby's Batwoman looks intimidating. The Caped Crusader, who sports her iconic red hair and mask, is pointing a gun at someone off screen.

The actress herself sounds so excited over how her character comes out. "Look at that suit! Look at that red hair!" the "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" actress exclaims while watching footage of herself as the openly-gay superhero in this year's upcoming Arrowverse crossover.

The photo itself is taken during a scene in which Batwoman is attempting to stop two inmates from escaping Arkham Asylum, while also saving Green Arrow and Cisco in the process. James Bamford, who directed the "Arrow" hour for the 3-night crossover, shares, "I wanted all of the bat toys to be revealed in one scene."

The report also offers more details about Batwoman a.k.a. Kate Kane. "She is more fun because she's a billionaire, she has ladies that love her," describes Ruby of her character. "I think, for the most part crossover-wise, she's swaggy. She always knew who she was, but she's really coming into knowing who she is in the crossover, and with [the more stoic] Batwoman as well. It’s not the first time she’s put on the suit."

Ruby further explains that Kate does not want to deal with the trinity arrives in Gotham City. "She has a whole other agenda, a whole other life that she's trying to sort out right now, and these frigging superheroes come in and they're a mess, and they need her help," adds Ruby.

"Arrow" showrunner Beth Schwartz teases how mysterious Batwoman is. "There's a lot of mystery to her, which I think will be intriguing, and people will want more after they watch, for sure," Beth says.

This year's crossover is set to begin on Sunday, December 9 with "The Flash" at 8 P.M. It will later be followed by an "Arrow" episode on Monday, December 10 at 8 P.M. "Supergirl" will conclude on the following night at 8 P.M. on The CW.
