The youngest member of The Wanted, who dated the 'Thank U, Next' singer, also gets dodgy when asked if he learned anything from his brief relationship with Pete Davidson's ex.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande's ex-boyfriend Nathan Sykes is glad she didn't namecheck him in her new single "Thank U, Next".

Over the weekend (November 03-04), the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer surprise released the track, in which she mentions her exes - hip-hop star Big Sean, back-up dancer Ricky Alvarez, late rapper Mac Miller, and her former fiance, comedian Pete Davidson, who she split from in October after a short engagement.

The Wanted star Nathan, who dated his "Almost Is Never Enough" collaborator for a few months in 2013, wasn't mentioned in the single, and when he was approached by TMZ.com on Wednesday, he admitted he hadn't heard it but was glad to know he wasn't namedropped.

"That's good. That's good," he smiled and laughed. "That's good. That's nice. But I hear it's amazing so that's fantastic. I think if people are releasing good music and they're happy with the music they're releasing then that's great."

The reporter explains to the British singer that Ariana sings about what she's learned from each of her exes and when quizzed on what she might have learned from him, he replies, "That's not a question for me. I don't tell anyone what they can learn from me."

When asked if he learned anything from her, the 25-year-old was hesitant but added, "I think it's a long time ago so you never, I suppose you just grow as a person don't you? (I) was very, very young when that happened... I've obviously grown up a lot."

The reporter then suggests he should "get back in there" now Ariana is single again, and Nathan responded, "Like I say, it's a long time ago."

In the track, Ariana sings, "Thought I'd end up with Sean / But he wasn't a match / Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh / Even almost got married / And for Pete I'm so thankful / Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm / Cause he was an angel."
