During his show in Toronto, the Grammy-winning singer announces that he is currently working on the follow-up to 'Starboy'.

AceShowbiz - Fans of The Weeknd should get their wallet out after this. The Canadian singer has just announced that he is currently working on his forthcoming album "Chapter 6" when he took the stage at Hxouse Live in Toronto on Tuesday night, November 6.

"I wanna let you guys know, being in Toronto these past two days, I haven't been this inspired in years, I gotta tell you," he told the crowd during his set. "I want you guys to be the first to know that I'm working on my new album right now, 'Chapter 6' coming soon, let's get it!" As one already expected, the audience erupted in cheers shortly after that.

The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, later took to Twitter to further hint what fans could expect from the forthcoming project, writing, "Some chapters are smaller than others. Not this one though..."

Further details regarding the album remain to be seen, though previous report suggested that his new music would be inspired by his rekindled relationship with on-again girlfriend Bella Hadid.

"Chapter 6" will the "Call Out My Name" singer's first full-length album since his Grammy-winning album "Starboy". Back in March, The Weeknd unveiled his first extended play "My Dear Melancholy". It received generally positive reviews from music critics and arrived atop Billboard 200.

Besides announcing his new album, another interesting happened to The Weeknd during the same show. When he belted out his 2015 hit "The Hills", one enthusiastic fan threw her bra onstage. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter then bent down, picked up the bra and threw it back into the crowd.

"You're going to get me in trouble out here, guys," he jokingly exclaimed, most probably alluding to his relationship with Bella.
