AceShowbiz - Not only starring in the movie, but Hailee Steinfeld also contributes to soundtrack of the forthcoming "Bumblebee". The 21-year-old actress and singer unleashed a song called "Back to Life" on Thursday, November 1.

Written and produced by Jorgen Odegard, the song is an electro-kissed banger that features a simmering production and heartwarming lyrics. " 'Cause I'm bringing you back to life/ And I know that you're gone but I swear that you're here," she sings, displaying her raspy vocals. "It's a feeling that won't disappear/ And you're bringing me back to life."

In a statement announcing the song, Steinfeld revealed that "Back to Life" marks the first time she had an original song in her own movie. She lent her voice in "Pitch Perfect 3" before, but she only belted out covers instead of a brand new song. Revealing that she was "beyond thrilled" to release "Back to Life", she said, "I can't believe this is finally happening."

Directed by Travis Knight with a sript provided by Christina Hodson and Kelly Fremon Craig, "Bumblebee" takes place twenty years before the events of "Transformers". In 1987, Bumblebee takes refuge in a small California beach town junkyard, where a teenage girl names Charlie Watson (Steinfeld) takes him in.

However, the two of them soon find themselves hunted by a government agency known as Sector 7, led by Agent Burns (John Cena). As they run from society, the two learn that Bee isn't the only Transformer on Earth, and that the others might not be as friendly.

In addition to Steinfeld and Cena, the movie stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Memo, John Ortiz as an agent of Sector 7 named Powell and Jason Drucker as Otis Watson. Meanwhile, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy and Michael Bay produced. "Bumblebee" will open in theaters across the nation on December 21, just in time for Christmas.
