The trailer teases that while her career as stand-up comedian grows fast, her personal life is the exact opposite of it.

AceShowbiz - "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is back in a few months. The Emmy-winning Amazon comedy has just unveiled a new trailer that teases the continuation of Midge's (Rachel Brosnahan) journey as a stand-up comedian.

The trailer opens with Midge in her new life as she continues to take the stage to perform. She keeps her comedy about her fighting against society’s expectations of her.

"Men in general run around telling everyone ‘Only men are funny,' " she tells the crowd in the trailer. "Comedy is fueled by disappointment and humiliation. Now who the hell does that describe more than women?"

While her career as stand-up comedian grows fast, her personal life is the exact opposite of it as she's nervous about keeping it secret from her entire family. "After Midge's triumph at the Gaslight, the fallout from her takedown of Sophie Lennon looms large, making her climb up the comedy ladder more challenging than ever," reads the official synopsis of the sophomore season. "As the actual grind of being a comic begins to take its toll on Midge, the pressure to come clean to her family weighs on her -- especially as her choices have a ripple effect on everyone around her."

The trailer also sees the return of Alex Bornstein, who snatched best supporting actress in a comedy series for her role as Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen, Luke Kirby and Lenny Bruce. The upcoming season will also feature newly-added actor Zachary Levi ("Shazam!").

Season 1 of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" earned 14 Emmy nominations and won four of them. In addition to Bornstein's best supporting actress in a comedy series, the series snagged a best actress in a comedy series award for Brosnahan, directing for its creator as well as grand prize of outstanding comedy series.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" is set to return for season 2 on December 5 on Amazon.
