The Canadian singer almost gets hit by a falling stage prop during his outdoor set, but he decides to make light of the situation.

AceShowbiz - Outdoor festivals and concerts can always be risky, especially if the weather gets a little too extreme. Fortunately for The Weeknd, he was able to perform just fine at his gig in Monterrey, Mexico on Sunday night, October 21, though he almost experienced disaster during his performance.
When he was walking to the edge of the stage and entertained the audience to a rendition of "Party Monster", an unsecured object fell from the top of the stage and landed just feet away from him. Despite that, he didn't even flinch and continued performing like nothing happened.
He later posted a clip of the near-fatal incident on Instagram Stories along with a funny caption which read, "MEXICO FORECAST: STORMY WITH A CHANCE OF FALLING OBJECTS."

The Weeknd is set to hit the stage in Mexico City again on Monday night, October 22. The weather is expected to be clear this time so hopefully there won't be any falling objects and he can perform safe and sound.
The "Call Out My Name" crooner has been gracing the stage in several cities and countries in support of his first EP "My Dear Melancholy". He has also announced that he would be embarking on an Asian tour for the first time to promote the effort.
The eight-date trek is scheduled to kick off on November 30 in Hong Kong and includes stops in Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan. It will conclude on December 18 in Tokyo, Japan. Ticket details and venues have yet to be announced as of now.
Featuring six songs, "My Dear Melancholy" was released on March 30 without any warning. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 169,000 units, becoming the shortest album to top the chart in eight years. The feat was previously held by "Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals".
