Squashing rumors that he might run for mayor, the 'I Might Need Security' rapper attends a press conference at Chicago's City Hall to encourage people to vote for the activist.

AceShowbiz - Chance The Rapper has given activist Amara Eniya a big boost in her bid to become Mayor of Chicago, Illinois by offering her his endorsement.

Dismissing reports suggesting he was planning a political run, the rap star staged a press conference at Chicago's City Hall on Tuesday, when he stood next to the woman he hopes will replace Rahm Emmanuel.

"If you're willing to see what this city could be, you will vote for her (Amara)," he said. "I probably won't be ever running for Mayor of this city."

Chance has made it clear of late he's not a fan of his native Chicago's current mayor, taking aim at Emmanuel in his song "I Might Need Security".

"It's important that people know we have a s**tty mayor, but I'm sure everybody else has s**tty mayors that they need to worry about," Chance said. "I just really hope that he's not actually gonna run again because it's over for his a**."
