AceShowbiz - Viggo Mortensen is set to make his directorial debut with a father and son drama.
The "Captain Fantastic" actor will portray John Petersen in "Falling", which he also wrote, about a gay man's complicated relationship with his farmer father, who joins his boy in Los Angeles following his retirement.
Lance Henriksen will play Mortensen's onscreen dad, while "Borg/McEnroe" star Sverrir Gudnason will also appear in the movie, according to Deadline.
In addition, Viggo will produce the project, although production and release dates have yet to be announced.
