Fans of the seven-piece group have started believing their idol will be picked as the next headliner after their interview with Time magazine is released.

AceShowbiz - While many people are speculating that Maroon 5 will headline the upcoming Super Bowl LIII halftime show, fans of BTS (Bangtan Boys) apparently don't think so. They are convinced that their idol is chosen as the next headliner after their interview with Time magazine for its Next Generation Leaders issue was released to public.

During the interview, one member expressed his wish to perform at one of the biggest events in the United States. "I'm just throwing it out there, but maybe we could perform at the Super Bowl someday," Suga stated.

It's pretty much clear that the second oldest member of the group merely said his wish out loud, but his statement apparently has fans speculating that BTS might be the Super Bowl headliner instead of Maroon 5.

"We all know Suga is a fortune teller. Who can see them playing in the Superbowl!? Raise your [hand emoji]," one convinced fan tweeted, while another similarly said, "so... bts performing at the super bowl next year huh."

One other couldn't hide his/her excitement about it, writing in all caps, "YOONGI [Suga's real name] JUST TOLD US THAT THEY'RE GONNA PERFORM AT THE SUPERBOWL HALFTIME. WE'RE SUCH EDIATS. THEY ARE FREE THAT WHOLE WEEK. THE GRAMMYS IS THAT WEEK TOO. @BTS_twt IS GONNA BE PERFORMING AT THE SUPERBOWL 2019."

Some others, on the other hand, started to imagine what it would be like if the seven-piece group really performs at the annual championship. "Can you imagine bts performing at the superbowl? army would buy those $5k+ seats to see them. the entire game would be quiet w nobody cheering bc nobody is there for sport," one fan wrote on Twitter. "a handful of dumb white men cheer but they feel out of place. It's the perfect f***ing revenge."

Nothing has been confirmed as of now regarding the headliner for Super Bowl LIII halftime show. The game itself will be held at Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 2019.
