The lawyer passed away after she fell forward and collapsed while attending a training class in Florida on October 4.

AceShowbiz - Bachelor Nation is mourning the loss of a former contestant. Cristy Caserta, who competed in season 15 of "The Bachelor", passed away on Thursday, October 4, Broward County Medical Examiner confirmed. She was 38 at the time of her death.

According to Sunrise Police Department, Caserta was attending a training class in Florida when her classmates noticed she fell forward and collapsed at the desk where she was sitting. Seeing her unresponsive, her classmates called 911 in fear that she suffered a seizure. She was then rushed to Westside Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:59 A.M. local time.

Her cause of death is still under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, October 5.

Following news of her death, fellow "The Bachelor" alumni offered condolences via statements released to Us Weekly. Emily Maynard wrote, "Being on a show like 'The Bachelor', you truly form relationships that are so special because it's an experience no one else can relate to. I'm grateful for my memories with Cristy and will be praying for her family and friends."

"I'm absolutely heartbroken about Cristy," Ashley Spivey said. "She was one of the kindest people I met on the first night of the show and she continued to be an amazing friend. She was as smart and funny as she was beautiful. She will be deeply missed in this world." Meanwhile, Chantal O'Brien regretted that she "never had the opportunity to get to know Cristy," adding, "My prayers and thoughts are with her family during this difficult time."

Caserta, who began her job as a corporate lawyer for a healthcare staffing agency, was one of the 30 women who vied for Brad Womack's heart in season 15 of "The Bachelor". She was sent home during the first week.
